Midwifery Access Fund

Mission Statement:

The Midwifery Access Fund is a non-profit organization with a mission to bridge the financial gap that hinders access to reproductive healthcare services unrecognized by the insurance industry. We are dedicated to ensuring that all individuals, particularly those in low-income situations, can access midwifery care for their reproductive needs.

As a not-for-profit organization, our primary focus is to allocate our resources and fundraising efforts towards gestational families facing financial hardships. By providing financial assistance, we enable access to midwifery services, including GYN care, labor and birth support, and postpartum care. We recognize that out-of-network providers are often financially prohibitive, and our aim is to alleviate this burden.

Extensive research consistently demonstrates that midwifery care for low-risk individuals yields improved outcomes for both parents and children. We emphasize continuity of care, ensuring interdisciplinary holistic support throughout the reproductive life cycle. By encouraging the involvement of various healthcare providers such as chiropractors, therapists, and dietary experts, we promote the overall well-being of families, transcending race, gender identity, and other distinctions.

Our mission encompasses not only financial support for healthcare providers' time and services but also the overarching goal of making quality reproductive healthcare accessible to all, regardless of their socio-economic background.
